Magnum means the largest trophy Rainbow in Alaska. These fish are thirty inches plus. This trip is for fly fishermen only and catch and release. We only take two rods per trip. You can book for two, four or six days. It starts the last week of March through the first ten days of April. It can be cold.

Similar to Steelhead fishing in Oregon and Washington in November through March, This trip is for the serious fly fishermen wanting to catch Rainbows the size of Steelhead. We are no tougher than you and we fish the early magnum Rainbow all of the time. It's a great trip for those who take fishing to heart and want to catch the biggest Rainbows.

My son Rob has a Rainbow mounted that is thirty-seven inches long, and an estimated 18 pounds. God knows how many pounds as the fish was released and it swam away.

Make sure you have a 8 or 9 rod; sinking line and lot of backing. Then give us a call and book dates.

Guest transportation to King Salmon can be made via commercial airline from Anchorage. Your aircraft will arrive at the King Salmon airport and Rob or I will meet you. Your stay will be with us in our condo, and meals, transportation plus Magnum Rainbows are provided.

The cost for the Magnum Rainbow Fishing package is $450.00 per day in 2, 4, or 6 day increments. Costs are all inclusive after your arrival in King Salmon.

A deposit of fifty percent (50%) is required at the time of booking to confirm and hold space. We will provisionally hold space for 10 days from the date of booking until deposits are received. Thereafter, we may cancel bookings that are not confirmed by deposit. Deposits and other payments are not refundable. However, guests may transfer deposits or other payments to another person using the same space of the fishing week booked. Further, deposits may be transferred to a future year, provided such request is made by April 1. A final payment of fifty percent (50%) is due 60 days prior to the beginning of the trip. We are happy to discuss the reasons for these policy with any guest who wishes to have additional information.

King Salmon Condos offer a full daily menu starting with a hot breakfast. It varies from day to day but usually includes whatever is fresh from the local market. Full course meals are served each evening and usually consist of prime rib, New York steak, turkey or similar items.

A variety of snacks are available at any time throughout the day and evening. If requested, the catch of the day is always on the menu for any meal. Special menus to meet dietary needs can be arranged, provided we have sufficient advance notice.

We serve wine with dinner and provide beer and soft drinks. Guests who prefer other alcoholic beverages should provide their own supply.
